My main raider is a resto shaman and these changes will be amazing for him.

And I don't agree that Ulduar raiding is TOO easy. Considering that my guild is the fourth to kill Yogg25 on our server and how many guilds have even seen Algalon(sp?) across all servers? If 3-5% of guilds have seen (not killed) him across all servers by the time they start talking about the next patch then they are just about right, but I don't think we even have those numbers.

I think they could have made the normal modes a bit easier then they currently are, but I do think that they got the hard modes just about right.

Wow. Those changes are almost enough to make me dust off my Shammy and resub.

The same patch will bring additional changes to other classes, particularly paladins. I think the opening paragraph to this blog post is actually the interesting part. Blizzard seems to be making an effort to steer their game away from the hardcore vs. n00b mentality under the guise of permitting n00bs to eventually see the high end content (using various mechanisms such as gradually nerfing Ulduar). Naturally, the hardcore gamers are the ones that are complaining the most because they feel all of their hard work is getting slighted. Personally, I wonder if driving away the hardcore minority and making the game more accessible to n00bs will actually end up increasing the subscription base. For example, it will be easier to get a friend to start playing WoW if he can get to 80th level (or see more of the game) in just 30 days.
